The Twelfth Hole at Westport Country Club is not only its signature hole, but is
considered by many to be amongst the most beautiful holes in New York State.
The hole meanders downhill through a well defined tunnel of mature Adirondack
pines, and finishes in a natural amphitheatre green setting. The second shot
must traverse a well positioned free-flowing natural creek, which cascades into
a beautiful waterfall. At 417 yards (blue tees), a good drive is necessary to
have a go at the green with your second shot. In summer
conditions, this downhill hole may be played with a short to mid-iron second
shot by better players, but in the wetter months a long iron to wood are not out
of the question. Come test this spectacular hole and see how it ranks with your
all time favorites.
